This purchase is part of a three-year collaboration with Kpa, through which they will purchase one artwork from participating Oslo Open artists each year. This year’s purchase of Naeun Kang’s work reflects on celebrating holidays far from home, exploring themes of friendship, longing, and belonging. In the painting, the filling spills out of a dumpling and forms a constellation of Christmas lights—an image that is both serious and humorous. Read more about Naeun Kang here.
