Workshop: Create your access action plan
10:00-12:30, Sentralen, Øvre Slottsgate 3, Oslo
Welcome to a workshop about access led by Oslo Open in collaboration with Balansekunst and ROM. Every year, Oslo Open initiates a space for the art sector to come together to discuss challenges and solutions from the field with relevant partners. This year, we’re organizing a workshop for smaller organizations and festivals wanting to improve access for people with disabilities. During this workshop you can work on aims for your organization, with actions towards them, and share this process with others.
Saturday
Visit the studios west of Akerselva
Saturday 18 April, from 12-17, the studios west of Akerselva are open. To plan which artists to visit, utilize the map and list of artists. Many artists are organizing events and activities at their studios. On Saturday you can share a tomato recipe and get a plant from Emil Andersson at his studio at Vetrinærhøgskolen, join an artist talk with Madelen Isa Lindgren at the exhibition space Spjeld, experience a performance by Tone Bjordam in Nordmarka, and work with clay together with Maria Juchnowska at Holmenkollen. Explore all events here.
Neighborhood Café at Vetrinærhøgskolen
Saturday 18 April, from 12–17 at Veterinærhøgskolen, Ullevålsveien 68 and 72.
In recent years, at Vetrinærhøgskolen at Adamstuen, 27 artists have brought to life former barns and laboratory buildings by turning them into studios. On Saturday, we’ll have explorer-kits available for kids and art puzzles organized in collaboration with Einar Granum Kunstfagskole. You’ll find Oslo Open’s neighborhood café in the outdoor area between the buildings, where we’ll serve freshly brewed coffee from our sponsor Tim Wendelboe and waffles.
Guided tours
Join a guided tour to the studios with five different routes to choose from. We’ll have guided tours in both Norwegian and English, as well as a tactile tour with audio description. Booking information will be available soon.
