André Tehrani (b.1980 in Tønsberg, Norway) is a Norwegian-Iranian artist educated at Oslo National Academy of the Arts and the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm, Sweden. Tehrani’s paintings can be described as a variety of post-digital abstraction which draws from a multitude of sources, such as colour charts, design software and American postwar modernism. Previous exhibitions include Monolog (solo, Galleri Haaken, Oslo, 2024), Arbeidstittel: The Workers (Haugar Kunstmuseum, Tønsberg, 2024), A Thousand Plus Ghosts (The National Museum, Oslo, 2022), Above Us Only Sky, (Nitja Senter for Samtidskunst, Lillestrøm, 2021), Parking and Transportation (solo, Galleri LNM, Oslo, 2019), Image Drain (Tallinn Art Hall, Tallinn, 2017), Hard Copy (solo, MELK, Oslo, 2017) and The Miracle of Rigid Fluids (solo, Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo, 2017).
