My artistic practice is built on the poetics of everyday life – found, discarded, and thrown objects. In the photographic series Everyday Sculptures, my work deals with public space, urban areas, and accidental encounters.
I am working mainly with analog photography, where I am part of the whole process; from researching the project, shooting, scanning, and developing the negatives and ideas for installations and sculptures for exhibitions. Ceramic is also part of my artistic practice. I am interested in capturing ephemeral elements and fortuitously still lives that we are surrounded by. I create photo installations and sculptures that I make from found and recycled materials as wood and bricks, which I then exhibit together with the photographs. My aim is to publish this body of work in a book in 2023, in Oslo.
Alongside my project Everyday Sculptures, I am engaged in creating photo documentary projects/series that deal with social problems, the issue of housing and youth.

For this year Oslo Open I will be showing my new photobook created in 2025. The photobook «Mortensrud Sirkusskole» shows photographs I have taken over the past 2 years and documents the environment of the Mortensrud Sirkusskole in the district of Mortensrud in Oslo, capturing portraits of children during their circus and acrobatics training in the neighbourhood. The project highlights the importance of inclusive afterschool activities for children and youth from diverse backgrounds.

Planned projects and exhibitions

In 2026, I plan to continue working on my photobook Everyday Sculptures, and to develop an exhibition abroad where I will explore media beyond photography, including installations, sound, and light.
