Nicolai Risbjerg (DK) is a sculptor and performance artist based in Oslo and Copenhagen. With a playful approach, he works on creating alternative narratives and perspectives on gender, love, and identity. He places recognizable symbols in new contexts, exploring our perception of ourselves and each other, with the aim of fostering a more queer, loving, and inclusive society.
Nicolai Risbjerg graduated from Bergen Academy of Fine Arts in 2020 and is currently studying a Master of Arts in Public Spaces at Oslo National Academy of the Arts. He was awarded the Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Talent Prize in 2024 and a working grant by the Danish Art Foundation in 2025.
