Line Solberg Dolmen (b. 1982 in Trondheim, Norway) is an Oslo-based visual artist working mainly with textile materials and thematics. She is concerned with the encounters between materials, cultures and traditions, how ideas, objects and goods circulate, and how people and nature otherwise influence each other.

“Textile blankets and installations have been my main focus, based on a strong interest in quilting and patchwork traditions in different cultures. These usually stem from a meeting between functional needs and aesthetic execution, where small pieces of worn-out clothing are assembled and utilized in larger, geometric compositions. I use hand stitching for these works, which are built up from, among other things, old wool blankets, tarpaulins, bed linen and discarded fabric.
