I work with the monstrous and the grotesque, not as something to be feared, but as a mirror and a strategy. The monstrous is not merely aesthetic—it is politics, poetry, emotion, and philosophy. It is a way of insisting on dignity and complexity. A way of saying: We exist. We feel. We have the right to a life of safety and dignity—even when we fall outside.

In my studio

In my studio you will be presented with a range of works: video, text, textile, drawing, and painting. Here everybody is welcome, and there are no questions too big or too small.

You will also get the possibility to look into the process and get a feeling of how the works are made.

Planned projects and exhibitions

During Oslo Open you will have the chance to see a range of smaller works included in the solo show at OPD3 in Copenhagen that have not been shown in Norway before. As well as video works such as “Monstersexual” and “Flashback”.
Here the format invites an intimate dialogue rather than a distant presentation, and there will be coffee, tea, and snacks, as well as the possibility to ask questions and get a copy of some of the text works.
