Terje Abusdal (b. 1978) is a photographer and artist educated at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KMD) and the Danish School of Journalism. Working with photography and sound installations, his practice explores narratives that shape individuals and societies.
He has received several awards, including the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and Fotogalleriet’s Nordic Dummy Award. The photobook is central to his practice, with publications including Radius 500 Metres, Hope Blinds Reason, Slash & Burn, and Costa Bravo Holiday Paradise.

In my studio
Umarell is a new art space run by Jon Gorospe, Giulia Mangione, and Terje Abusdal. With a street-level gallery and a back studio, it focuses on experimental contemporary art, especially photography.
