Through painting and sculpture I explore the idea of history as a ruin – a landscape of fragments and traces that we can read and interpret, but where we ourselves must fill in the gaps to create a coherent image of the past. From the ruins of the present, we can create the future.

Erlend Grytbakk Wold holds a BFA from Oslo Academy of the Arts (2011), an MFA from Malmö Art Academy, Sweden (2014).
