Fredrik Berberg
(He/him)
Address: Alna Kunstnerforbund, Vollaveien 19, 0668 Oslo
Floor: 2
The studio is open Sunday 19 April from 12-17
Through sculpture, I explore geometry, nature, architecture, and translation. I am particularly concerned with investigating the relationship between the physical and the virtual. Digital 3D modelling has become a central tool, creating a framework for exploring both aesthetic and conceptual aspects, and leaving a clear imprint on the visual language. The artistic expression is defined by a composite use of diverse techniques and materials, in which industrial and organic vocabularies are interwoven.
I hold a degree from Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen (now KMD), where I graduated with a Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Art in 2013. Since completing my studies, I have lived and worked in Oslo. Through previous exhibition activity, my work has been presented at venues such as Kunsthall Oslo, BO, Galleri Golsa, Kunstnernes Hus, Norsk Billedhuggerforening, Hordaland Kunstsenter, and Kristiansand Kunsthall. I have worked with public art and have received several grants and other awards.
